The Clow Worldspan Tower manufactured to BS1139 (CENHD1004)  Clow first started manufacturing towers in 1949 using the innovative cone connection between frames. Since that time the design has been constantly improved to produce the Clow Worldspan Tower.
The Worldspan Tower is available as either a single width tower at 0.82m wide by 1.8m long or a double width tower at 1.52m wide by 1.8m long.
The Worldspan Tower complies fully with the European standard HD1004 and is approved to British Standard BS1139 under BS5750 Quality.
Designed to withstand the rigours and heavy duty use of the construction & hire industries, all joints on the Worldspan Tower are securely welded to give greater strength & rigidity.
This tower features a number of unique fittings including the Clow Locking Cone and the Clow Claw. All these features are designed to improve the ease of assembly, strength and safety of the Worldspan Tower.
Clow Locking ConeThe Clow Locking Cone is an aluminium precision casting made from LM25 alloy in TF condition. It has been designed to ensure secure locking of the adjacent frames,whilst also allowing both simple and safe erection and dismantling. 
The casting incorporates a red locking pin at the apex which engages through the reinforced ferrule at the base of the next frame. When the the frame is safely erected the red pin will be visible from the inside of the tower thus proving correct assembly. The strength of the alloy ensures long life and resistance to accidental damage.
Clow Claw The Clow Claw complete with frame rung welded joint has been designed to engage securely and safely by pressing the Claw onto the rung with a simple snap action. It can be easily released by operation of the spring loaded trigger. The frame rung offers a safe non-slip serrated surface to enable the operators to access all levels from the inside of the tower.This eliminates the need to have a separate internal access ladder.
Welded Joints The welded joints have been completed by professional welders qualified to the European Standaard EN287. A welded joint is much stronger and safer than a cast or crimped joint - it is more rigid and eliminates creep that can occur in crimped joints.
 Narrow Width TowerThe Narrow Width Tower is for use where access is restricted for example between machinery or conveyors. Each tower has a full compliment of horizontal and diagonal braces using the unique Clow Claws at both ends. The assembly includes both fixed and trap platforms complete with interlocking toeboards.
Adjustable Legs All towers are supplied complete with adjustable screwed legs complete with a quick spin locking nut. Into these adjustable legs may be fitted either braked castors or baseplates.
All the special features of this tower simplify assembly and improve safety. The latch hooks on bracing need not be primed before connection, thus facilitating assembly and maximising safety. The automatic locking spigot automatically locks frames together in one movement, with no clips or springs to lose or forget.
