Timber Tradesman Trestles (600mm Width) to BS 1129 Class 1
Clow Timber Tradesman Trestles are built to conform with British Standard BS 1129 Class 1.
The image here shows a set of Clow Timber Trestles together with a Clow Timber Staging.
The wooden bars are tenoned into the trestle sides with a concealed mortice to prevent unnecessary weakening of the legs and to help keep moisture out and prevent rot.
With an absence of any wedges used to hold the timber joints these trestles are designed to remain rigid through out their life.
The bars are fixed at 18'' centres alternating on each side of the trestle to give a regular 9'' rise for scaffolding.
Rigidity is increased as the trestle is securely bolted together using screwed and nutted tie rods. Galvanised steel hinges are bolted onto the sides and the trestle is fitted with nylon check ropes to provide secure and optimum stability.
