Clow Heavy Duty Aluminium Platform Steps to BS 2037 Class 1

These Class 1 Heavy Duty Platform Steps are designed to give years of service in arduous industrial conditions.

Constructed with channel section front stiles, a box section rear frame and extruded treads, this platform step is extremely stable, rigid and strong.

As standard, this platform step is fitted with non-slip, non-marking PVC feet together with a GRP reinforced tool tray.

This step is available in sizes from 3 tread to 13 tread. Please note that the NAPS13 size lies outside of the British Class 1 standard specification.

Like the ABS Class 1 Industrial Step Ladder these platform steps can be fitted with optional handrails, kneerails and stabiliser bars. Handrails can be fitted to the left or right hand side of the step or both sides if required. A Kneerail, fitted to the top of the step, offers extra grip to the end user. A stabiliser bar can also be fitted to the bottom rear of the step - this adds extra stability and helps prevent side slip when using the step.

Please note that the relative sizes of platform steps are often specified by their tread count - platform steps traditionally count the main platform as a tread. The very top section of a platform step, (above the main platform), is excluded from the tread count. For example a four tread platform step consists of three treads plus the main platform, (as per the image above of a NAPS4 Platform Step).
